WICHAN CHAROENKIATPAKULThe Finance Ministry is set to adopt closed-loop credit cards in healthcare services for state officials and their families, aiming to lower budget leakage and control costs. Higher healthcare benefits and the rising number of ageing state officials are partially to blame for increased spending. But abuse of the healthcare system by some state officials has also led to inflated costs. The first one comprises Bangkok Bank and Kasikornbank (KBank); the other camp consists of five commercial banks -- Krungthai Bank, SCB, Bank of Ayudhya, Thanachart Bank and TMB Bank.
